"Springtime" is finally here! Leaves are budding on recently bare trees and flowers are peeking through the soil, soon to bloom into full color. These are just a couple reminders that soon we will be celebrating Easter Sunday. Whether a religious holiday or just excitement that seasons are changing, we are welcoming spring!
This is a great time to start planning how to include your mother, father, grandparents, or any aging loved one, family or friend, into your Easter festivities. Coinciding with the belief that Easter is a time of fresh beginnings, why not begin a new Easter tradition or memory with your senior loved ones? How about a Senior Easter Basket?
Why not? Are Easter baskets only for children? Consider surprising your senior loved ones with an Easter basket. You know them best, of course, but here are some fun ideas to get you started:
No doubt we've got you thinking and you'll ponder other items that will make the basket unique and special. Arrange them in a pretty new wicker basket, put a big pastel bow and remind your senior loved one how it feels to be young again and the excitement of waiting for the Easter bunny!
So why not start a new Easter tradition, your own way of welcoming springtime, the time of "new beginnings"? If you're not fortunate to have senior loved ones close by or still with you today, why let that stop you? There are many seniors in your own community that may be living in isolation or don't have family nearby. Stop by a local senior living community and I'm confident you'll find someone !whose day will be brightened by your visit Just think of the potential new Easter traditions that you are starting and your family will experience. Yes, Spring is in the air! We encourage you to share this excitement with senior loved ones!
